Mexico Customs and Immigration Process

NHYC has retained the services of Victor Barreda to once again help expedite vessel immigration, customs and port clearances, for both arrival and departures from Cabo. If you wish to take advantage of this service, some advance information and payments must be received by Victor Barreda, in email format, using the following email address operations@caboportagent.com ( further instructions bellow or on his website here.)

Sr. Barreda will hold scheduled office hours at the Baja Cantina to coordinate all vessel documentation. These hours will depend on vessel arrivals and will be posted in our race reception desk.

We do encourage to take advantage of this service and do send in the required documents in time. Vessels that do will simply need to pick up their completed documents and Mexican Visas with Sr. Barreda upon arrival.

If you decide not to send the documents prior and still wish to use Sr. Barreda services in Cabo, please note that it will take up to 1 extra day to clear in a vessel and get Mexican visas for your crew to be able to fly out.

If for any chance vessel arrival gets delayed you can risk crew members missing their flights by not having their visas in time, also these vessels will not be able to take advantage of the special group rate for this service.

Sr. Barreda can be reached directly:

As a note, Sr. Barreda confirms that fishing licenses are not required for racing boats or crews unless they decide to fish Mexican waters after the race. Also, currently Agriculture Inspectors are requiring vessels to dispose of all beef products on entry.
