Race Committee in Cabo for Pre-Race Planning

The Newport Harbor Yacht Club 2015 Cabo Race Chairman is currently in Cabo conducting pre-race planning activities. This includes meetings with the Marina (to secure and arrange for the many big yachts coming to Cabo), arranging party details, finalizing communications and the finish line, working with customs and immigration officials and planning the Awards Party.

The Marina looks in great condition with just a handful of slips still needing repair. All the restaurants and hotels have been repaired and many rebuilt after the night of September 14 when Hurricane Odile hit a largely unprepared Cabo San Lucas directly as a powerful Category 3 Hurricane, the strongest hurricane ever to make landfall in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico.

The weather is great, the place is bustling with people, and the food is awesome as usual.

The NORs have been posted and entries are open. It’s time to sign up!
