ORR Enroute to Cabo

This afternoon, in light but building breeze, the ORR and Multihull fleets started their race to Cabo. Twenty-one boats started in 4 separate starts, among many spectator boats surrounding the starting line. Tomorrow at 1pm, the very fast tri-hull, Mighty Merloe, will start and see if she can catch up to the fleets having 24 and 48 hour head starts and be the first to arrive in Cabo. PHRF Overnight Update

It's been about 17 hours since the PHRF's started and the leaders have gone about 80 miles. The fleet has spread out with Between the Sheets going out while Second Wind, Sauvage and Miramar hang closer to land.  The fleet has crossed into Mexican waters and have light winds as day breaks.
