The Temporary Import Permit (TIP) is now an enforced requirement for bringing a boat to Mexico. It is strongly suggested that all boats participating in the NHYC Cabo 2015 Race have a current TIP. Instructions for obtaining a TIP is on the NHYC Cabo website here. It's not difficult to do and can be obtained relatively quickly, but best to get this handled early. The TIP lasts for 10 years.

J World’s Hula Girl has entered the 2015 NHYC Cabo Race by skipper Wayne Zittel out of Sand Diego YC and San Francisco YC.
With 127 days before the start, some big and fast yachts have already signed up for the 2015 NHYC Cabo Race. In the last couple of days, Invisible Hand (RP/63) skippered by Frank Slootman of Encinal Yacht Club, Pyewacket (Andrews 70) skippered by Roy P. Disney of Waikiki Yacht Club and OEX (Santa Cruz 70), skippered by John Sangmeister of New York and Long Beach Yacht Clubs have entered the race. "Only" 130 days left until the first start of the NHYC Cabo 2015 race to Baja. Sounds like a long time, but March 20th is coming soon and we are already receiving entrants to the event. View the countdown clock. Discount for early entry ends January 20th.
