Blue skies and 7 knots of southerly breeze greeted the ORR Fleet today. All 3 divisions and the multihull left the starting area sailing upwind just above rumbline towards Cabo San Lucas.

The PHRF fleet encountered light and variable winds their first night offshore as they entered Mexican waters. Most of the fleet remained near rumbline while Expression Session opted for a more outside course.
It was a beautiful day for the PHRF Start off Newport Beach. 75 Degress, blues skies, and 8 knots of Southwest breeze. The fleet got off to a great start and is headed south to Cabo.

Thursday, March 21st Brief Overview: A surge of strong NW winds and building short period seas will continue offshore through Friday and Saturday. Much lighter winds are anticipated near the Southern California and Northern Baja coasts.
