\"\"Last night at Newport Harbor Yacht Club, the competitors of the Newport to Cabo International Yacht Race gathered for their mandatory checking, competitors meeting, and food, drinks and music hosted by the NHYC Race Committee.<\/p>\n

Announced was a Notice to Competitors which effectively extended the time limit to finish, to accommodate the possibility of light winds. The actual Notice can be found on the Official Notice Board<\/a> page on this website.<\/p>\n

The US Coast Guard sent a representative to discuss safety at sea issues and to answer any questions from the competitors.<\/p>\n

The event chairman announced that the schedule social “fiesta’s” schedule would be adapted to the actual arrivals of the competitors so that everyone could benefit from he planned events. Changes to times and locations will be posted at the race Headquarters at the Baja Cantina in Cabo.<\/p>\n

The website has been updated with a “Tracking” page<\/a> where the progress of all the competitors can be watched.<\/p>\n
